Why is the Western Wall important to Jews?
The western wall
The western wall is an important site in Judaism because it is the last remaining piece of an ancient wall that surrounded the area on which the Jews Holy Temple once stood. It is a place where they focus on prayers. This Wall is built with love and dedication. They know that it is the closest place Jews can pray to the Holy of Holies. They believe that the Temple Mount is built upon the Old Hillside Mount Moriah. This is the place where many pivotal events in Jewish history took place: the creation of the world began from the Foundation Stone at the top of the mountain, Adam, the first human, was also created a top this mountain, and when Abraham was commanded to prepare his son Isaac for sacrifice the Father and the Son went up to "the place that God chooses".

Why was the Hezekiahs Tunnel important to Jews?
Hezekiahs Tunnel
Hezekiahs Tunnel makes Jerusalem an important place for Jews because it had saved thousands of Jewish people when the Assyrian Army attacked. Assyrian Army was ordered to attack Israel and they stopped food and water to come or leave Jerusalem. Therefore, the tunnel helped them stay alive because it was a place where you could stay safe and most importantly, you could get water from the Tunnel.

So, Jerusalem is important to Judaism because it was there that Abraham (one of the great Fathers of Judaism) was prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac. God had ordered Abraham to do this and Abraham was very religious and would obey his God.
